A highlight awaits you this morning as you depart to explore what is commonly referred to as the World's largest wildlife zoo. After breakfast, you descend with a picnic lunch through the early morning mists and 2,000 feet into the crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the World's largest intact volcanic caldera. Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct areas, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. It's an awesome wildlife experience. A picnic lunch is served overlooking a small lake populated with hippos.

After breakfast, drive out of the Conservation Area. Continue on to the plains of the Serengeti, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.

Big game feed in full view of the lodge. The Serengeti is a natural paradise and home to one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth - the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle.
The lodge design is simple but stunning. Inspired by a traditional African village, separate rondavel "huts" house the luxury guest rooms that have their own view of the vast Serengeti plains. From the overall impression to the smallest detail, the lodge is rich in local atmosphere created by indigenous handicrafts and art.

During your two full days in the Serengeti, morning and afternoon game drives will reveal amazing sights. ame viewing in the Serengeti is never disappointing, as the park has one of the highest concentrations of game in Tanzania. Plains game like Coke's hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle and Grant's gazelle are plentiful. So too are buffalo and wildebeests. Wildebeests sometimes bear the brunt of jokes because of their "funny looking" appearance. Some say the wildebeest was made of spare parts. But it has adapted well to the environment and the sheer number of wildebeests on the plains will amaze you.

Fly to Arusha this morning and continue on to Nairobi. You will be met and transferred to your hotel at the airport. The evening is at leisure.
Day 8 Nairobi-Victoria Falls | Meals: B
Fly to Victoria Falls today, where the remainder of the day is at leisure. You may just hear the sound of the Falls crashing to the gorge below from your lodge. It's a perfect afternoon to relax or perhaps add in an optional activity like ziplining?
"Pioneers" is the latest gem in the accommodation offerings available in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. A short 2.5 km from the magical Victoria Falls, and situated in a peaceful residential suburb, this lodge is in an ideal location. The nostalgic era of the pioneer explorers has been perfectly blended with modern amenities to meet all the requirements of today's traveller. The property is exclusively reserved for residents which ensures topmost privacy.
Set in lush gardens with beautifully manicured lawns, this fifty room lodge is a great option for those who value comfort and elegance. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated in a classic style, and each has a clear and open view of the garden. As well as comfortable furniture, multi plugs and good lighting, they all feature air-conditioners, fans, room safes, mosquito nets and tea/coffee making facilities. Under the hot African sun, well placed in the lush gardens are two swimming pools for the guests to use at their leisure. In addition to these, a day spa, TV Room and a meetings room are also available on the property.
Conservation and preservation of the environment are so important, and Pioneers is committed to being Environmentally Friendly. Carefully placed solar panels are used to harness the power of the sun and covert it to clean energy. Although not totally off the grid yet, most of the lodge runs off solar energy, backed up by generator as a contingency. Pioneers also supports local wildlife charities in aid of conservation, anti-poaching, essential research and anti-litter projects, all of which operate in the Victoria Falls region.

Start the day with a walking tour of the Falls themselves. The Falls are just over a mile (5,577 feet) wide and 360 feet high and an average of 550,000 cubic meters of water cascade over the edge every minute. (By comparison, Niagara Falls is 167 feet high and 3,947 feet wide; Iguazu Falls is 269 feet at its highest point and 8,858 feet wide.) Later this afternoon, enjoy a relaxing sundowner as you cruise along the Zambezi River.
